Hey Y’all! I am now settled into the new Austin, TX headquarters for Psychic Outlaw and I am needing to expand my sewing team.

Check list for this position:

  • home sewing studio with a serger & sewing machine

  • knowledge & experience making garments, I will not be teaching how to sew

  • ability to travel around Austin, TX

  • photo examples of your most recent work

  • photos of your at home machines and studio space

What to expect…

Training: I will train one-on-one for one to two days & then you will be free to work from home for the rest of your employment with me.

Employment + Work Forecast: This will be a contract labor position, the amount of work each week could fluctuate from week to week, but I would expect around 10-30 pieces (20-40 hours) per week as far as the work load goes. I will pay an hourly rate during the days of training, and then once you are working from home, I will pay you a piece rate. (averaging $20 an hour)

Requirements: I will require you to pick up/ drop off the items at my studio every Thursday at a set time that we can decide on in the future. So you must have a means of transportation for this part of the job.

I will require you to have a home studio with proper space and machinery to be able to produce the garments in your home.

If this sounds like the perfect job for you, please send your Resume, photos & a lil’ introduction on why you want to work for Psychic Outlaw as a Production Sewer to psychic.outlaw.clothing@gmail.com or click the “say howdy” button at the bottom of the page!

I will try my hardest to respond to each email by either setting up a phone interview with you to move forward, or to respectfully decline.
